I first saw Eric Cohler’s work on This Old House when he worked his magic on a barn conversion. Eric Cohler has been dubbed the “Mixmaster” for his use of contemporary materials, which, juxtaposed with classical elements, give his interiors a jolt of unusual color and texture, as well as great comfort.

At first I thought I really, really wanted that dinging room- then I realized I just want the woods out back.

I saw that barn on this old house. There was a farmhouse as well. That bathroom is great and I think that might be David Hicks carpet on the stairs 🙂

OMG I love that staircase photo!!! Well, whoever designed the runner is a genius!!

Yes, the runner along with all that art is making my heart race. Love that dining room that opens into the woods. Great, great stuff.

Well spotted Lauren. The stair runner and the carpet in the barn great room are David Hicks, hexagon and hexagon house.
