Mabley Handler Interior Design

Posted on Thu, 18 Oct 2007 by KiM

Jennifer Mabley and Austin Handler are a husband-wife team of designers based in New York who focus on designs for homes in the Hamptons. Their style is very modest, clean, contemporary…timeless classics. I think my favourite piece has to be that silver tub. How glam!

Pia Jane says:

totally glam! you guys are rocking on the posts lately, i can barely keep up! you have been a great source of inspiration (read: distraction) while i’ve been attached to this computer researching. thanks for the fun. hope to have more surprises for you soon too

Love that cabana. And that tub!!!!! great find Kim!

Suzy says:

The tub is super glam, thanks for sharing. Their designs are absolutely timeless.

keira hung says:

If you like the tub, you can find silver or copper ones in http://www.waterworks.com. No advertising. I have been to their show room in Boston. I just love love them (the tub, the tiles, everything). But the price is too high for me.

Love the bathroom subway tiles. Using two sizes is GENIUS.

But dang… I can’t tell you how disappointed I was to click on the bedroom photograph and realize that the wallpaper pattern was not a dinosaur skeleton motif.

Hey, thanks so much for the post, and for the great feedback 🙂

We meant to write back earlier (like 2.5 years earlier!), but where did the time go?!

Anyway, a couple of notes…First off, that bathtub is the Mercer Tub from Urban Archaeology (as is the tile): http://www.urbanarchaeology.com/bathroom/tubs1.html

Secondly, that "dinosaur skeleton" wallpaper is actually an Asian tree-patterned wallpaper called Edo Pines from Studio Printworks (color: Robin’s Egg light blue): http://www.studioprintworks.com/files/wallpaper-detail.php?wallId=40

Thanks again for the post! We recently launched a Hamptons Design blog called Designing the Hamptons, so check that out when you get a chance:

Best,
-Jennifer & Austin
