More Megan Morton!

Posted on Tue, 16 Oct 2007 by midcenturyjo

The fabulous Megan Morton sent so many photos to share when we were guest blogging on design*sponge. This is a look at her take on modern spaces. You can really feel the vibe of the clean minimalist lines in her shoots. Thanks Megan. You get to see the insides of some amazing places!

OMG if I was a room!!

Posted on Mon, 15 Oct 2007 by midcenturyjo

Just saw this amazing room featured on Elle Decor Spain’s website. The combination of Herman Miller’s 1955 classic Coconut Chair, chrome arc lamp, chinoiserie hand painted wallpaper screen, mirrored coffee table, outrageously large floral arrangement and my new colour obsession…. green. Love it all! Maybe not practical but I’m not always practical myself. Thanks to Kim’s twin sister for showing me the way to this fabulous room!

*A little side note: I am putting my house up for sale this Wednesday so things are a little crazy here. I’m hoping to be able to find some time to get posts done for the week. If not, Jo will be posting as usual. (I’m so lucky to have a blog partner). So if I don’t answer any emails this week or if my posts are brief or non-existent, it’s because I’m vacuuming for the 324th time.

Jo’s place

It’s been a busy day today. After a leisurely breakfast in the Valley and a browse through the markets (where I found a lovely little brass urn for $5) I came home to start work on hand colouring some chair prints for my….. etsy shop! Yes I’m taking the plunge and opening a shop. Still a week or so away but you’ll know when you see the widget. At the moment my fingers are stained with Windsor & Newton watercolours but I’m making progress. Keep you updated.

Meg Braff

Love! Love! Love this house by Meg Braff! Meg has a passion for color, fabric and pattern. Vintage furniture and bright sorbet colours catch your eye. I found myself searching each room for yet another covetable piece in this Palm Beach bungalow. Love it! Oh and the rest of her portfolio is fabulous too!
