Around the house

I realized it’s been a while since I posted about work I’ve done to the house or results of thrifting trips. That’s because I’ve been so busy shopping and planning my kitchen renovation that I haven’t had time to do anything else. I have been trying to work on redoing my stairs, but it’s always a work in progress so no photos yet. I went looking for appliances on Friday since I had the day off, and went to a couple of my favourite antique shops since I was close by. There wasn’t much that caught my eye, but at Found Design, an awesome mid-century shop, I picked up a really cute wooden cat (can’t remember who the owner said makes it) and a gorgeous piece of fabric. Kitchen curtains perhaps??

This cat is my favourite thing EVER. If I could get my hand on it, I would get about 30 of them.

Cute cat!

I had no ideas that you were living in the same town where Found Design is located. Cool!

weird–I am also in Ottawa and also have that same cat (tho he seems like he has a shorter neck!) check it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jadeblade/264263221/in/set-72157594318674629/
