Nelson bubble lamp sale

Posted on Fri, 21 Aug 2009 by KiM

If you haven’t already heard, there’s a huge Nelson bubble lamp sale going on at the Modernica warehouse, for all those near the Los Angeles area. Unfortunately, LA is a tad far from Ottawa and Brisbane – otherwise Jo and I would SO be there. (I am so bummed).

Here are the details: “Modernica is having a half off, open box sale Saturday, August 22, from 10 am – 12 pm (2118 E. 7th Place). We are offering Bubble Lamps that are practically new. Nothing with tears or anything dirty, just lamps that may have been used once on a TV show or a movie set. There are a total of 319 lamps for sale. There will be lots of medium saucers and a wide variety of other styles and shapes. NO new lamps will be sold, but I assure you these are as close to new as you can get and at a discount! Please note, this sale is at our warehouse only.”

It’s almost the weekend. I couldn’t imagine a better place to spend some quiet me time than curled up with a book (and some crumpets) in this beautiful London studio. Just enough period features, lots of faded white and gorgeous gorgeous light. Time to put the kettle on. Join me? Another stunning Light Location.

Max Attenborough

One moment so pretty, bright, white, overflowing with peony pink and girly delights. The next moment dark and vintage, rough and indie. Meet my new photographer crush Max Attenborough. Imagine being faced with a stylist’s imagination gone wild and then having to capture not only the look but the feel. Max fearlessly faces all the foibles a stylist can muster to bring us these stunning shots. Great work!
