Moody blues, brightest lightest white, gradual greys, colour full vibrant colour. UK photographer Lucinda Symons sees a room through her lens and finds the meaning. A shutter snaps closed and there you have it, the inspiration, the look. The images are simple yet tell it all. Favourite? The moody room above.

Alex says:

All are divine but the room with forest green walls is my favourite…

Brandi says:

These rooms have such a wonderful rustic farmhouse charm. And that blue bowl with the pink flowers is gorgeous (I had an "I need that" moment). And the leaves on the floor in the living room — it reminds me of the movie Great Expectations with Ms. Paltrow in it.

That sweet little bed with the blue and white blanket just looks so cozy and perfect for a lazy day with a stack of books. Bet it smells like lavender.

Does anyone know the color and manufacturer of the paint in the deep forest green room? Love that color!

I love the iron bed !!!

I wanna curl up and take a nap in the whitewashed bedroom.

And the gustavian clock is just perfection.

Amy says:

Beautiful! The first photo is my favorite. I like the moody feel with the pop of fuchsia.
