Dear Mr Waller

I am writing to express my admiration for your work. I am particularly taken with the elegant tailoring of your rooms. Oh no not stuffy though! Please do not get me wrong. These rooms are restful and calm yet warm and inviting. Loving the rich timbers and the occasional break out of colour like a ripple of mirth in the room. Oh dear I am gabbling on Mr Waller but that is what I do when I’m impressed. May I call you Andrew?

Dear Andrew,

Me again! I have just perused your commercial portfolio and you are a man of many talents (and looks). Love this warehouse studio and the darkly elegant shoe shop.

Why aren't these boring? I loathe conventional rooms, pastels, neutrals; safe, staid and balanced arrangements. In any other hands, these rooms would SO be all of it.

The best part is, it isn't a trick. You can remove the elements that catch your eye — the twisted lamp, the turned-leg side table, the bright chair, the elephant. And the room remains perfect. Mmmm.

By the way — your introductions are beginning to take on the weirdly mystical qualities of that magazine Seinfeld teased. The long, thin one, that I used huddle off to read, not look at.

In other words — mmm.

I love everything. Thanks for showing!

Love these rooms, partcularly want to chill out in the last room, simply elegant!

lindo post.

I love your blog, you inspire me
