…latest thrift shop find

WINKS – weekend links. Here we list what has come in during the week, things we’ve found and things we think you’ll want to see. If you’d like to see your blog or website featured email us and if we think it fits with our readers we’ll link you. So what’s in this week?

  • I love these. The Foradacaixa hand crank music boxes with their beautifully illustrated package and the unique tunes. Are You Lonesome Tonight,  La Vie En Rose, My Way, Valser D’Amelie. By Sílvia Silva and Sandra Gouveia of Loja de estar. Too cute and beautifully old school!

  • Saffron Marigold – bedding and linen hand printed, one magnificent inch at a time, using the traditional craft of wood block printing. Artisan made in India they are perfect for a soft feminine and floaty look this summer. My favourites? The shower curtains are so pretty!

  • The Bali faucet by GRAFF. Take a pump handle design from the 1800s and update it to modern day tapware. Look at that olive bronze finish. So earthy, so tactile.

  • Graphic love! Coordinate posters by Caroline Silfverling of I Love Design. She can customise too! Here. Stylish and just a little retro. Love her other posters. View more work on her blog.

I’d coverting this hallway with it’s wide aged wood plank floor, the wonderful blue walls and especially that bench. Talk about yum! The Eastward bench (and the chair for that matter) by Thos. Moser is on my lust list. With it’s references to the past it would look just as cool in a minimalist modern interior. Just want to rub furniture oil into it over and over…. oh pardon me too much information!

Great pics…Love seeing a typewriter…

Hi Jo and Kim,
I just want to thank you for this wonderful blog… when i first found it, i couldn’t believe my luck because i loved every single thing that you ever posted. i continued to scroll down and i just couldn’t stop! i’ve spent pretty much the entire saturday on here and i’m only on page 12. it’s the quirkiest satisfying feeling to know that there’re 500+ more pages to go through every time i click "next." it must take a lot of patience, genuinity and work to make all this possible. i’ll continue to catch up with you guys, but for now, i just have to stop reading for a while and come back to this most recent most to say thank you 🙂

Thanks for the Saffron Marigold tip. I’m looking for curtains that work more as a decorative item than to block out sunlight, and was pleasantly surprised to find they’re not overpriced!
