Birthday wishes

Although it’s still Sunday here in Ottawa, there’s a 14 hour time difference between here and Jo’s part of the world, so it’s already Monday in Brisbane. And Monday happens to be Jo’s BIRTHDAY!!! I thought I’d put this up now so Jo sees this when she wakes up and (unfortunately) has to go to work. 🙂 Happy birthday blog buddy!! I hope you have a fantastic day and get lotsa pressies. Speaking of pressies, I know exactly what I would get you if I wasn’t in dire need of every cent I have to put towards an upcoming wedding and house renovations…a moroccan wedding blanket, which we have both been coveting for quite some time. Unfortunately all you get is a photo (via Living Etc.).

And since it’s almost Monday I thought I’d throw in a couple photos of Jo’s dog Mickey laying on some furniture in her office.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

re; Mickey post: anyone else notice it’s a dog on "dogstooth." ? Some call it’s "houndstooth"…both work though!

What’s so interesting about the Mickey photo is that in the first one, there’s a great rug that really completes the look – and in the second one, there is not. I just got an interesting lesson in "putting it all together." I really love this room and would love to see more of it.

Happy Birthday Jo! Hope you have a great day!

midcenturyjo says:

Thank you so much Christina, Melanie and Stephanie 🙂 I’m a day late with my thanks so my apologies!

Well spotted Kym. As you can see from the pillows tossed in the corner of the couch I was cleaning at the time. The rug was out being beaten. I have always laughed that Mickey was lying like that because he didn’t want his feet touching the ugly wall to wall carpet. The kilim is one of my favourite rugs and is currently in my living room. A b&w cowhide is doing duty in the office for now. In case you haven’t figured it out I have a rug fetish 🙂

Thanks Manvi!
