The king of white

Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz is the king of white spaces. White is his trademark and it’s incredible how he can mix so many shades of white, off-white, cream, beige, ivory, eggshell….and make it WORK. The result is sophisticated and absolute drama. Below is a home in Sagaponack, New York that he designed, go figure, all in white.

The white bedroom is my favorite! The whole house is gorgeous though. I love how what little color is used really pops.

Wow, his work is amazing. Pure and refreshing. All white, but it does not bore your eyes. Thanks for this post. I am definitely inspired by your blog! Kaho

Great use of white… Everything is pretty balanced and logic. Great job!

Sammy says:

Yes I agree it’s very beautiful but what happens when a real live person walks in? What if, heaven forbid they clash?

Perfectly composed grasses, stones and lianas in connection with conifers at the middle plan. Took pictures to my blog. Many thanks!

The color white has taken on a whole new meaning!…It’s just beautiful the way the color flows through each room…I love the bedroom with that massive headboard overlooking the colors of the outdoors!..I’m ready to move in!…

They obviously don’t drink red wine

Molly says:

There are many clever design elements but overall this house is not livable nor sustainable. The white finishes will discolor quickly, making them a quick candidate for replacement and fodder for the landfill.

Jacki says:

Nancy, I agree about the wine. They obviously don’t have pets either. Very interesting but not for my family.
