Monday’s pets on furniture

Posted on Mon, 6 Sep 2010 by KiM

If you’d like to send us photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow our basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. (Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it). And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it’s dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Thanks! (Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.com and PLEASE don’t send me closeups of your pet!)

****After viewing the adorable photos below, head on over to Pawesome and check out their awesome pet photo contest!!!

Here is our beagle, Sophie Sue, relaxing in two of her favorite spots.
– Vanessa (Dallas, Texas)

This is our little Siamese kitten Oliver, who spends most of his time cuddled up on the couch with his teddy
– Keren (New Zealand)

Pepper, our three year old silver back Persian. Gazing inquisitively outside at the squirrels but doesn’t want to let go off the couch.
– Ivana and Sanil

This is my dog Zoey on my hand-made Danish modern chair.
– Jenn (St. Louis, Missouri)

Here are some pictures of my cats Nugget and Nelly enjoying their favourite couch, a linen-blend sectional from Structube. Nelly likes to prop herself next to me when i’m reading on the couch. Nugget on the other hand is quite possibly the laziest lounging cat ever. It’s also purely coincidental that they are perfectly coordinated with the couch and pillow colour-scheme. 🙂
– Steph (Ottawa)

I love your monday posts, so here is a photo of our family pet cherry shrimps. We like those little creatures so much, that we even brought them along on the plane when we moved to France. The cupboard belongs to our french landlady, they are really keen on their family furniture, so when it was seized and auctioned off during WWII by nazis, they went to Germany to fetch it back immediately after the war ended =)
– Liaissan (Orsay, France)

In the picture is my six year-old maine-coon mix Hendrix (better known as Drix) lounging in the summer sun.  Behind him is the culprit for his sleepiness, a pot of live catnip. Next to him is a knockoff of a Design Within Reach Sapien Bookcase (clearly unorganized!). He spends most sunny days in this corner, tanning himself and knocking books off the shelf (yes, those against the wall were “placed” there by him).
– Pamala (San Diego, CA)

I send you a picture of my old and little yorkshire dog Nouchka assorted to the colours of cushions on my sofa, gold and black.
– Cath (Bordeaux, France)

This is my Yochon, Toby, enjoying one of his favorite locations in the house.
– Megan (Ohio)

Just wanted to share this photo of Sergio enjoying my over-sized comfy chair.  Or, I guess I should say HIS comfy chair… 🙂

Here is Alvy the wire hair fox terrier and Lucille the westie-poo on a white corbusier reproduction sofa
– Zach (Peterborough, ON)

Oliver is wondering when dinner will be served….
– Karlene (Minnesota)
