MH Studio

Jo is off taking care of the move to her new home (YAY!!) and I’m here taking care of business. To end off the work week, I wanted to share the work of New York interior design shop MH Studio. The M is for Shari Markbreiter, who “brings a fresh energy to traditional luxury. Her inspired blending of color, form and texture produce consistently sophisticated and comfortable interiors“. The H is for Benjamin Huntington, who has over 20 years of training in the art of Feng Shui. Together they create wonderful spaces, and I love how they utilize every inch of space (which in New York is necessary).

Loving the portraits on the back of the chairs. Looks fantastic

Melanie says:

The chairs that look like canvases are wicked cool!

a clean white saarinen table is always a good choice. happy weekend!

My initial reaction to the canvas back dining chairs was . . .seriously. I definitely had to see the rest of the interior to appreciate the WOW factor. It is a great space. The sharp contrast between the interior and the view of the city make it even more appealing. Design to Inspire. . . yes, I think you did !

Wow – love their work. Elegant, chic but most importantly – livable!! Thanks for sharing!!

Patrice says:

I love, love, love the paint color in the entryway/stairwell. It's exactly the color I've been looking for to paint my living room. Is there any way to find out what that color is?

Shari Markbreiter says:

Thank you so much for the lovely mention about my studio! Isn't the web a remarkable place!? We have several new project coming to completion and will be photographed soon. Check back again soon. Patrice – send me an e-mail and I'll be happy to tell you the paint color of the entry.

I also write a blog http://www.mhstudioblog.com that is primarily about the work that we do. I would you and your followers to check it out.

Cheers! Shari

love these spaces, all of them.

Monika says:

I love all of these spaces, and appreciate the design solutions they propose.

I love the living room cabinetry, but I especially love the goat dining nook; it is hilarious! The goat, the upholstered seating, the use of turquoise! Please, please, can you tell me where you found the white plastic mail sorters? I am trying to find a solution to the kitchen mail/school clutter problem, and these are just what I am looking for.

Carole Cohn says:

The " fantastic " needle point chairs were designed by the owner of the apartment in NYC.
I'm the owner and maker of the chairs. They were inspired by some of my favorite French
artists. I wanted to create a salon of interesting artists and characters who create wonderful
dinner conversation.
If you want more information on the history of the project, email me at cwcamos@mac.com
Thanks for you wonderful comments.
