Chair redo

Posted on Fri, 17 Dec 2010 by KiM

I’ve got a little before & after for you all this morning. It’s from Sandra, whose dining room and den we’ve blogged in the past. She had an antique Victorian chair redone and wanted to share it with us. I absolutely love the fabric she selected – so fun! Thanks Sandra!

What a gorgeous fabric to choose! It instantly sets this chair into the fantabulous category!

Thanks all. The fabric is called "Mademoiselle fabric" by Lisa Bengtsson. You can get it online @ scandinaviandesigncenter. The rug is a great ebay find. It's a bit damaged (which to me is part of the charm) — but means I got it for cheap! -Sandra

It looks so much better!

Shylo says:

wow… that fabric takes that chair from nice to absolutley amazing!

ElvisFan says:

Not for me! This fabric is certainly not in keeping with the history of the chair…

genius…

Love the fabric choice and placement. Where'd you get the great flying duck?! 🙂

What gorgeous fabric. I read the comment about wrong fabric for the chair style, and wondered if you have ever checked out jimmy kaarlsen design? He has a little shop on church st, Kensington London where he rather irreverently does gorgeous things with period furniture. Check it out.
