Casual Friday

Posted on Fri, 28 Jan 2011 by KiM

It is Thursday night as I am getting this post ready and I am a little bit swamped – I need to tidy up the house and get some photos together as we’re meeting with another architect tomorrow when I’m off work for our house additions (we hadn’t heard from the first one in a while, and we just found out due to some serious family matters he’s unable to continue with our project). Luckily this shouldn’t stall our plans. Anyhoo, I thought in my haste I’d just slap up some photos I saved a while ago from the website of French magazine Campagne Décoration (suitable because I had a 3 hour French class this aft).

I didn't want this post to END! Every picture is perfection! Great work.

Lovely stuff! What kind of additions are you doing and what style? We're halfway through ours so I may be able to give you some tips later on!

Christine says:

WOW I didn't want it to end either!!

The first three photos look like my house but cleaner!

I would give a lot for copper baths and stone kitchen hearths…

Chie says:

HI,
Funny… the first pix is really like my lil house, in Stockholm, Sweden. My fireplace wall is exactly as that on ur pix. The roof and the narrow room. Ahhh… feels am home.

I will send some b4 and after if ever I found good shots §;-)

Have a blessed w/end, ladies…

We'd love to see photos of your home Chie! And thank you for following our blog for so long!

Sarah, we're planning to double the size of our house (so adding about 1000 sq ft). The new addition will include a new entrance to the house, a new living room, pantry, powder room, laundry room, master bedroom with ensuite and a basement under the new section. The gut and redo of my old kitchen was the largest project I had undertaken so this addition is a new experience for us. I welcome all tips and suggestions!

This is probably one of my favorite round-ups. That ocean view is amazing and the winding staircase.. with the three orchids on the table, magnificent!

So many beautiful images…love the tolix chairs in the first photo!!

Pics 3-5 speak volumes to me! LOOOOVE them! Happy weekend.

B So Chic!
