Modern interiors placed delicately in historic shells. Colour saturated minimalism and a dialogue between the past and the present. It’s a beautiful balancing act. Welcome to the portfolio of Rome based architect Carola Vannini. It is all about space and colour, positive and negative, blocks and voids, old and new… and respect.

It is a wonderful juxtaposition of rough and refined…that raspberry bathroom is just too much…a stunner! thanks for sharing Jo, see you on my blog somtime soon!! xx meenal

I really appreciate the artwork here, it is beautifully made. On a more personal note, it is definitely inspiring but also looks a little impersonal and dark. I do love the modern-ness of it though 🙂 And not everything here is meant to feel like home to everyone. Sometimes it's about the art work, too. Right? Right.

DO you know what paint color was used on the bedroom wall, the green wall.

Katie says:

The color is so rich. I love it. Love love love the green. Clever kitchen dining too.
