My post yesterday of Sera’s work was all about white. This time it’s a mixture – in black, bright and a few extras I could not resist.

it's like a little girl playing dress-up and my only thought is, who would want to vacuum in these rooms? again, no thanks.

Annie says:

This all seems like high kitch to me which I can appreciate, but only ironically. The "white" post put me in mind of Colombo sets for the homes of wealthy degenerates in Malibu, and this one looks like a flop house for the Rolling Stones circa 1973. As I am old enough to actually remember the decor of the '70's first hand, I can't muster much enthusiasm for this work. It all makes me want to throw open some windows and toss out all the curtains, fringes, flowers and fops. There seems to be plenty of gorgeous architecture behind all the stuff. Ultimately, it's amusing, but only in passing.

Looks like she did Angelyne's Malibu condo!

Melissa says:

This is wonderfully styled! I love the emotion in every room!

Meg says:

It's amazing to me how people feel so strongly about these designs. I am especially fond of the rooms that appear to be from the turn of the century–the black walled bedroom with the chinese accents for example. I am an interior designer and have a surprising number of clients who love this style but can't imagine themselves living in it. It definitely imparts the feeling that a bohemian lifestyle would be necessary to live in any of these rooms. You certainly can't be a stick in the mud and embody this sort of space. I think they are loads of fun, really well thought out and developed–they really so hit a nerve, don't they?

Still using a fan to cool off to sleep but am totally inspired by the cosy warm, rich, vivid color and textiles. Want to gather some velvets immediately and fashion a bedskirt and add some textile draping above the bed. Lovely!

Erika says:

I love the darker rooms! So glam and over the top.

Love the third-to-last image. I'd love to see a link to Sera's work in this post!

I LOVE THIS WORK.

IT BRINGS UP SO MANY WONDERFUL EMOTIONS JUST
LOOKING AT IT.

I COULD LIVE THIS WAY NOW, THAT I'M OLDER AND NOT
AFRAID OF BEING JUDGED. THESE ROOMS WOULD
MAKE ME VERY HAPPY

Love the darker rooms. Warm, inviting and an air of decadence. Not loving the pinks and the more gaudylook.
