Monday’s pets on furniture

Posted on Mon, 12 Dec 2011 by KiM

If you’d like to send us photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow our basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it’s dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Thanks! (Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to  desiretoinspirekim[@]hotmail[.]com and PLEASE don’t send closeups of your pet!)

This is Zoe in her favourite spot in the livingroom. She usually doesn’t like to get photographed, but she felt generous last night and put her best diva expression on. The first image was shot through the terrace door with the X-mas decoration in front of it. The second is a close-up.

Here are two pictures of our rescue pitties, Dasie and Lily.  And one picture of our kitty, Bobcat, soakin’ up the sun.
– Sadie (Chicago, IL)

Attached is a picture of Barkley, my 4 year old Boston Terrier, in his favorite place on the back of the sofa.
– Lauren (Dallas, TX)

I was visiting a friend’s apartment over the weekend with my Dane (Audrey). While getting the tour of her place, we came across her vintage dome chair. My friend immediately came up with the idea of trying to get a shot of my Dane on the chair. After a couple of attempts, we finally got the shot we wanted.
– JT, EMR, & Audrey (Downtown Miami)

I’ve included a couple of pictures of my little rascal, Sam the Jack Russell, sitting on my couch in the living room. That’s his favorite place in our house, but again, he pretty much owns everything in the house.
– Ke Ying (NYC)

This is my mutt, Casserole, perched on her chair enjoying a sleepy afternoon in my apartment in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
– Jess

Max has headed for higher ground since our puppy came hoem, and is now a regular couch potato!
Pets takeover… Our new dog Lexus who now thinks she’s a cat, between our cats, Max and Gizmo.

Here is my snowshoe Darby on a couple chairs around the house.

Two of my three dogs. Honey on the chair got the upper hand. Daisy had to resort to the pillows.
– Jennifer

Dakota my 4 year old lab mix decide this new chair from Ikea is the perfect place for him to sit! Even though it’s a little small 🙂
– Dylane (San Jose, CA)

Oliver, my 4 year old Cavalier King Charles, always hogs the middle of the bed.
– Heather (Brooklyn, NY)

I've been following your blog for awhile now but have yet to post for 'Monday's Pets on Furniture'. I have 3 dogs .. all photogenic and I'm a photographer, no excuses.
Love seeing the pitties!

There's no better way to start off a Monday morning!

Love looking at all the adorable pets on furniture! And thanks Melissa!

Dasie and Lily have the sweetest expressions on their faces.

Sadie, you are awesome for adopting, especially pit bulls, they deserve loving homes, too. What cute little girls and Bobcat is lovely as well.

rooth says:

The Dane in the chair is such an awesome picture!

What a great idea! I love furniture and I love my pets even more! I wanted to cuddle with each furry friend! There is nothing better than designing a space where my client can enjoy and share with their special pets!

I love every image…the King Charles Spaniel in the last image is precious!!

neha says:

ha ha! I have never seen a dog sleeping on a pillow before! Honey's picture is one of the whimsi-est!

Jones says:

Zoe knows her stuff. She is a gorgeous diva!

Poochie Lou says:

They are all adorable, but if I had to choose favourites, they would be Dasie and Lily…and Barkley too! Love the pets on furniture 🙂

Meredeth says:

Dasie and Lily are too precious for words!!
