Sometimes Scandi isn’t just white

Sometimes Scandi style is anything but white. Most times it’s a lot more. Swedish photographer Anna Danielsson takes us into homes that break those clichés about white and bright must be Scandi. There’s brooding and muted, pop art colour pops and warm woods… and yes there is still white but not the antiseptic, scrubbed within an inch of its life Swedish real estate photograph white. Lived in white. Such rich, detailed shots. So much personality. Those Swedes are still styling whatever colour the room.

Wow so many things here that I love; the bedroom wallpaper, the rustic kitchen door, the green lampshade in the office space, the vintage bed and lots more! Thanks for the inspiration burst!

How can I find out what that amazing floral wallpaper is in the bedroom shot with the books, robe and hat-boxes! I'm in love. Any hints gratefully received!

It looks a bit as if the ordinary people use color, and leave pure white to the highly fashionable.

I adore the use of primary color in the first photo! I also love the colors in the fifth photo. This photo reminds me of one of your retro posts. Any more of those coming? Hope so!

Mariana, I'm pretty sure it's William Morris Honeysuckle. It's funny I've been considering using it myself in my bedroom!

Mariana says:

Thanks so much, Annika!
