A couple of days ago I received a pets on furniture submission from a photographer based in Salt Lake City named Philllip K Erickson. The photos he sent are awesome, and you can check them out in one of Monday’s pet posts, but in the meantime I thought I’d share some of his absolutely fantastic interior photography. He claims “It’s simple. I hold a box up to my eye and decide what to leave in, what to leave out.” If only it were that simple. Well, here is one of the homes he has shot that I absolutely adore. It’s mid-century, modern, slightly kitschy…perfect combination if you ask me.

Doritos says:

That wallclock on the bedside drawer will drive me mad! I mean, who wants to listen to every freakin tick tock?!

I wish the wood panels in the living room had lighter tone.

But oh boy, that genuine Barcelona chair+ottoman is the real superstar here.

Je trouve que la Barcelona apporte la bonne touche design à ce salon. J'adore.

Natalie says:

wow – I love that place! The house is just my cup of tea full of old stuff and having the atmosphere of a holiday house. And the photography is amazing too!

Vanessa says:

love the living area no so much the other areas though…

Greg H says:

I LOVE the dark! It's so great to see somebody embrace it rather than work against it. And the sunken living room? To die for! My taste runs toward the traditional, but this place has me smitten. It's so sexy. What a great place to entertain.

Nacho says:

It's Brown, masculine, balanced, and I love it!!!

Leone says:

That living room has such a great vibe. I absolutely love it!

Teri says:

I am in love with this home. The dark paneled walls balance beautifully with the light ceiling and sofa. This is an incredible home that is masculine, modern and oh so cozy!

respectfully says:

wow there must be something wrong with me…I think it could use a real edit… and is a bit of a slave to designer names sorry…colors nice though

B Wilson says:

i love this home … such a welcome change from all the "white and bright" you normally see
