The NoMad Hotel

Here is the second hotel I wanted to share with you all, The NoMad. It too is located in New York. Located in a turn-of-the-century Beaux-Arts building in the NoMad district at 28th Street and Broadway, the hotel has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is intended as a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Parisian flat of Garcia’s youth. The 168 rooms are residential in feel and decorated in his classic, timeless style. Each room is appointed with hand-selected, richly textured custom-designed furnishings and original artwork. The soaring ceilings throughout the public spaces provide a fine gathering place to enjoy dining, drinking and socializing. It has a similar vibe to the previous hotel but I think the other is more Parisian-industrial whereas this is more Parisian-Gentleman’s club (and far more dramatic). I’d love to stay at both – how would one choose?! (P.S. The photography is perfection!)

This looks like an awesome place!

If I would have the resources to go to NY, I would not hesitate for a minute and book a room at this hotel, gorgeous!

Very club-like and away from it all, soothing, private, comfortable, un-fussy. I'd stay there!

Wow! The elegance is astounding! So many rich textures in perfect balance for the space! Light and comfortable in the rooms with dense and warm gathering spaces! Wonderful!

superbe!

This Hotel is so beautiful, I stumbled upon it the first week they opened while I was on my lunch break. There is a really fancy French clothing store (Maison Kitsune) on the first level that is also gorgeously designed and the Franco-New York, luxury staff are surprisingly very friendly. I'm going to have to check out the restaurant soon! Thanks for the beautiful photos!

well we visit nyc on a regular base. we have stayed so far at the Plaza, the peninsula, the greenwich hotel en the chatwal hotel. plaza has the most gorgeous rooms but no service at all. the chatwal has the most amazing service and gorgeous rooms! and the greenwich is like a heaven in the city! absolutely stunning and perfect and beyond perfect. So for our next trip we want to book the NoMad!!!

This hotel is so nice….i absolutely adore that bathtub…its so chic. The only thing i dont like is the fact there is no privacy from the tub to the bed….it's a little awkward for me but other than that…WOW

I adore this style !!
Vraiment beau, du style et très invitant. Une ambiance francaise de bon goût.

The rooms look nice and welcoming; the beds look super plush and comfy. I love that the public areas are dark and moody but warm…lots of character. The entire hotel looks like the perfect setting for a movie.

The bathtubs are the only thing that I dislike but I'm biased because I don't like those kinds of tubs.

Wow, this style is completely different to the first but still very appealing. The footed bathtub is exquisite!
