Another Savills property

This property that I also found on Savills UK site knocked my socks off. I have always dreamed of having a house on a lake, where it’s built so that it’s floating over the water. This home is exactly that. It’s set on 6.39 acres in Killearn, a village in West Stirlingshire and the surroundings are gorgeous. This contemporary home is over 3400 square feet, was designed by McInnes Gardner Architects and completed in 2006. Wowzers – to have all of those massive windows looking out onto the water and that beautiful property, and to not have to disturb the view with curtains. What a dream! Oh – and the pond is 2,5 acres and is stocked with rainbow trout. Dinner is served? 🙂 Details here.

Erin says:

What an interesting perspective. I love the floating stairs.

Speechless….

I love the property, like the house but the interior leaves me cold. It too formal, too stiff…and bit predicable.

What a beautiful home! The exterior surroundings look tranquil and the house itself is modern in a way that's warm rather than stark and cold.

MadonnaofCoogee says:

Verrry interesting…. saw this house being built on Grand Designs a couple years ago. Cannot believe they are selling after all the trouble they went to. Wonder what the story is?

Dobromir Raynov says:

I think it's Season 5 Episode 8 of Grand Designs

Aaron Brant says:

The setting is beyond stunning, but the interior? Tacky, tacky…

Plamen says:

An amazing exterior and the ugliest, coldest, tackiest interior. Bachelor's pad at its worst: white walls, bare windows, no pattern in sight, black leather, silver pillows, faux fur, bad art.. Ugghh!!!

Robbie says:

Absolutely beautiful and serene house. I'm always sad when one of these Grand Design houses are for sale. I just want them to live there forever…and I don't want to hear any sad stories..

Linda says:

I'm pretty sure that house was on Grand Designs… fabulous episode.
