The chalet

A little escape to Switzerland to this chalet by Andreas Fuhrimann Gabbrielle Hächler Architects. Concrete, plywood and views from the beanbags. A minimalist, modern twist on the traditional. Love the staircase and its storage. Love the reinterpretation of the historic vernacular.

Beth K says:

Boy, I love this, too. I'm a sucker for concrete, plywood, AND bean bag chairs.

m sang says:

I too love this place, the concrete and simplicity. However, I don't understand why anyone would like those bean chairs. Does anyone feel happy when they sit on those? Is more like "OH No! I made an enormous mistake!"

I love the outside and the view (not to mention the country in general!) but the inside is a bit too sparse…even for me!

lydia-rose says:

I agree with Jordana, and this sparseness would only be exaggerated by snow in winter…

Lea says:

Love the concrete interior section. Shame about the railings obscuring the view so much.

cindy inda says:

Where can I get those bean bags?

Tom says:

I get the sparse look and feel, but concrete is to cold to me, literally.
