Lofty love

My love affair with New York firm Selldorf Architects continues. A vast, lofty, wide open, light streaming in, killer industrial windows type of lovin’. Stark white expanses anchored by dark floors and warmed by wood and colour blocks. And the whole idea of descending down into a TV “pit” just makes me grin like an idiot. Great bones brought to life with great design.

Lordy, lordy, lordy. There's a touch of mall about it, no denying that. But its the mall you used to dream of living in when you were a kid. Combined with the Michelin-star restaurant that lets you set up an RPG for the afternoon. The table in the corner that makes every lunch date into the possibility of a long-hoped-for seduction. This place is fun! Dance around in your lingerie and excessive amounts of jewelry F. U. N. If there isn't a fountain somewhere, I'm going to be so disappointed.

Very lovely, even if my feelings are that it is a bit hard. Love all the wood.
I wonder how the acoustics is though.

Vast. What an understatement!

Hollie says:

This is an awesome space! All the white and the black metal arced windows!

Just stunning and amazing. Definitely would want to throw down some rugs to soften and quieten, and not sure about the very uncomfortable looking couch, but oh my, the light, the space, the windows!
