This home in Holland Park, London, is EXACTLY where I would dream of living if I had the opportunity to go British. The exterior is absolutely breathtaking. This apartment occupies the full ground and lower ground floors of this double fronted Italianate villa. The contemporary decor in neutral colours works so well. And how about that kitchen! I’m not sure I’d want to be cooking at the stove staring at the wall but for some reason I’ve always been drawn to a layout like this. Love the island lighting strip too. More details here and the agent’s page here.
Britboho. Britbrash. Britquirk. Brittattered. Britstyle. Homes with personality. Homes that don’t take themselves seriously. Homes that look great with kids in them and the remains of last night’s boozy dinner with friends left uncleared on the table. Dogs and rambling gardens and wellies and knocks and dings and tarnish and way too much dusting and layers and layers of memories and family treasures. I love Britboho. I love this East Sussex home from locations firm Wilde & Watson. From the front door to the back paddock…. imperfectly perfect.
From Switzerland to Italy and across the seas to Australia. From Marie Claire Maison to Elle Decor to Inside Out and Real Living. From modern and crisp contemporary to well lived in and loved. Beautiful rooms captured beautifully by photographer Angelita Bonnetti.
A little bit smaller than the last home, Santa Maria del Cami is a 450 sq m newly built country home also located in Mallorca and designed by AP Design. Ethnic decor has been replaced with more traditional furnishings but with a bit of contemporary accents thrown in to keep it from being stuffy. And WOW – that stone exterior is spectacular.
Villa Llucmajor is a stunning 750 sq m home on the Spanish island of Mallorca designed by Anja Peter of AP Design. A wonderful juxtaposition of a modern structure and ethnic decor. It’s a slice of paradise that would be a wonderful escape from reality.
