Stalking a loft 1

I’m stalking two industrial style lofts today. The first, in a former produce store in Richmond, Melbourne is mind blowing. The open plan design over several levels, the concrete and timber, the steel and the brick are all classic industrial loft riffs. The design stars for me are the two fireplaces. Oh my! I’d be lighting fires in summer and cranking up the air conditioning to cope! OK so it  needs some personalising. It’s like a cross between a bachelor pad and a half empty furniture consignment store. But the bones! Oh the bones! For when I win the lottery. Link here while it lasts.

Oh, that KITCHEN – those concrete surfaces are stunning, and then a walk-in pantry? /breath!/ I just know I'd throw the dining table out into the covered patio (add velvety outdoor curtains for cooler nights) and drop a comfy reading/eating couch & table combo in front of that fireplace. The stair space is SO wonderfully romantic! The bent-metal stairs would have to go of course, because I like my toes exactly as they are, but old wood in iron risers would work, right? So right, it is classic perfection. Far too often we see a marvelous façade that has had its heart stripped out — this is a whole.

Who is the manufacturer of these stairs? Anyone!!?

Sorry LBailey, we have no idea
