Monday’s pets on furniture

Posted on Mon, 22 Jul 2013 by KiM

If you’d like to send me photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, if the photo is dark or fuzzy then it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.comand PLEASE don’t send closeups of your pet! Thanks!

Jessie is thrilled to help mom get some work done!
– Niki (Boston, MA)

1 – our kerry blue terrier Ojta, sitting on old renovated grandma’s armchair;
2 –
Ojta is relaxing on our handmade sofa:)
– Egle (Vilnius)

First photo is on the new leather couch which they hate unless it’s covered! 6 yo Pooh Kitty and his Manchester Terrier housemates: 13yo Pizzaz and 6 yo Jimmy Choo.
And so she is not left out, I have included the baby of the family in her favorite afternoon sun spot- 2yo BLING also a Manchester Terrier

– Dina (Addison, TX)

Our labradoodle Broulee hanging out on our patio furniture.
– Teresa (Vancouver, BC)

This picture is from one of my finished interior photo shoots where we were trying to take a detail shot of this reupholstered mid century chair. “Louis” the terrier wouldn’t budge! I love how his scruffy coat is juxtaposed to the gloss of the timber.
Sophie (Melbourne)

Tank, Beau, Birdie and Hud waiting to hear their favorite word.  POOL! Hud’s nickname is 3K because no matter what happens, it’s going to cost at least $3,000.
– Phil (Los Angeles)

I send you a picture of our cat Luna laying on our cupboard. The nice thing is in the reflecting glas you can see more of the rest of the room.
Martina (Leverkusen, Germany)

I love this shot because I caught Lambert and Maximus snuggling on our new piece of furniture. I think from the looks on their faces, they wanted their privacy.
– Ashley

1 – Tucker (dog) Oliver (cat) on the back of an Ikea chaise with Pier1 pillow. No Tucker is not dead, he’s just faking because he doesn’t like having his photo taken. Lamp behind is ceramic painted to look like brass (antique-ish)
2 –
This time in one of my four vintage Saarinen chairs I got for $23 per chair at a local Salvation Army. He loves to sleep in his basket, I just move it wherever it suits me and he jumps right in.

I'm a sucker for all lifeforms on four legs (which explains why there are 22 legs residing in my 854 sq ft household), but Tank the yellow Lab really got my number.
