Bursting with colour and life and layers of texture. As hot as Brazilian design is these days Fernanda Marques produces work that is as cool as can be. A sophisticated, contemporary style with energy to burn.

I’m really excited to share this home with you today because I absolutely LOVE IT! It’s the Victoria, BC home of Jay & Gord, pimped out by interior designer Kyla Bidgood. This home is modern and fabulous, with a mid-century vibe and some superb wallpapers and accent walls that bring some funk. I must point out the pair of Hans Wegner Teddy Bear chairs – I lust for these – that happen to be originals from Gord’s childhood family cabin that have been spruced up. Seriously? I hate Gord. LOL Great job as always Kyla!!! (P.S. Check out more of her work here and here, and more details on this project here

FleaPop

We got our hands on some photos of the home of Ross and his wife Evelyn. Ross is the founder of FleaPop – a brand-new online marketplace for once-loved goods (it’s Etsy meets Craigslist meets Pinterest). Their home is a cool little bungalow in Laurel Canyon, LA that is open-concept and bright, with a fab yard…but the best part might be their 4 legged roomie. 😉

More confection from French firm Camille Hermand Architectures. I can almost taste the citron on my tongue. Followed by a meringue. So sweet!

A sweet little piece of Parisian architectural candy. Ornate touches to the ceilings, old wooden floors and scrolly iron work on the balcony. Beautiful bones juxtaposed with midcentury and modern. Then bam! Colourful riot on the wall. A little pastille of perfection by Camille Hermand Architectures.
