Techné – to make poetically. I had to return to this Melbourne firm’s work for another dose of inspiration. Creative, contemporary, edgy and exciting this home is a bright and cheery ode to family life. Both dark and colourful choruses break the sunny white providing contrast and interest, tying the old to the new. Hang it! I’ll stop trying to wax lyrical. I just need to say it’s fabulous!.

This house is so magical ! Congratulations to the decorator !!

Amazing! Fantastic! And the cherry on top… that pool outside!

Hmm. Very nice, of course. But lacking in… elbow room? Symmetry given preference over personal space. Just a bit. You can see it where two chairs are edged into place where just one body would truly fit, or architectural details would give elbows a good knock – or where huge, lovely light fixtures take up headroom where people need to be. But I like the midcentury vibe.

Oliver says:

I really love the cushions with pink/green dot en yellow decorations. Does anyone know the brand? Bye Oliver

The black ceiling and tiled walls in the kitchen and bathroom are so dramatic! Love the white cabinetry, polished concrete and natural wood tones on top of this, and also vibrant pops of colour throughout.
