Tree house

Magical. Playful. Sophisticated yet childlike. What a joy it would be to live in this Paris loft by interior architect Grégoire De Lafforest. From the pine tree in the living area to the hothouse in the kitchen, sorry the kitchen in the hothouse the loft is whimsical like a modern fairytale.

“Once upon a time a thoroughly modern garçon lived with his parents in a wood on rue Voltaire in the 11e arrondissement… ”

Poor tree…

Margaret says:

Trees have grown in stranger places.. but if this pine tree is anything like the ones on my property I wouldn't want to be doing pine needle clean up in a house come November when the pine needles drop! I do love the 'hot house' kitchen though!

graes says:

Beautiful. Just curious where the other end of the tree is. How does it sustain itself? Love the kitchen too!

midcenturyjo says:

It's a faux pine. Well the trunk is real (dead) and the needles are fake.
