A weathered warehouse

I saw this story on the website of magazine Garden & Gun and while on the subject of magazines, thought it was worthy of sharing as I love a good warehouse conversion. This warehouse is in Greensboro, North Carolina and is now the shop and home of antiques dealer Dan Garrett. His shop is the main level, the second level is half shop storage and half main living space (including kitchen, dining area, a sitting room) and the third level is a wide open living area with a bed tucked into a rear niche. Love the rustic industrial feel and the coziness that is created from Dan’s beautiful antiques.

Dan Garret did a wonderful job with the combo of home and shop. His overhead is probably a lot lower in comparison if home and shop were separate, smart man. It does look very cozy, very nicely designed.

crazy about the mortars and pestles assuming they are practical (not to heavy to pick up yet heavy enough to stay put while in use, the pestles are tipped with the same material as the mortar and don't cost an arm an leg like la cornue). love the black windsor chairs and the 2nd pic is just perfection; from the selection of each item to the composition of both the photo and the space. would love to be a patron to what seems like a tasteful establishment, while lucky if ever were a guest to "homy", non theme park home.
