Monday’s pets on furniture

Posted on Mon, 16 Dec 2013 by KiM

If you’d like to send me photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, if the photo is too dark or unfocused then it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.comand PLEASE don’t send closeups of your pet! Thanks!

Here is my cat Lynx relaxing on one of our dinning chairs. He is normally not allowed in the dining room so he is making the most of it while he can.

This is Fancy Nancy on my beloved Featherston R160 Armchair.

This is our Max on his favourite blanket. Love your blog!

I had to share this photo of Frannie the West Highland Terrier sound asleep on our sofa during our holiday party last year. She actually belongs to my in-laws, but comes to visit often and always makes herself right at home!
Christine (Washington, DC)

This is our simple Christmas tree and our ginger cat called “Zrzi” that we lost one and half year ago.. We miss him a lot.

– Petra (Prague, Czech Republic)

Lloyd likes when mom accidentally leaves the bedroom door open.

Lily had a case of the Mondays.
– Emily & Lily (Atlanta)

Dorothy finds a chair that’s a perfect fit!

My dog Shaggy makes himself at home in my new chair.
– Shannon (Memphis, TN)

I wanted to share a photo with you all despite it not abiding by my MPOF rules. On Friday I paid a quick visit to see this little monster.

His name is Wilbur and I rescued him a couple of months ago (if you follow me on Instagram you would have heard/seen this story). A lovely Ottawan, Gabriella, who follows me on IG saw a photo of him and agreed to take in this little grump. My husband builds cat structures (he has an Etsy shop) so we dropped off a prototype for Wilbur and his roomie Sheldon, and to see Wilbur enjoying his new home. I could cry to think that this adorable cat could still be out on the streets right now fighting to stay alive in -25 celsius weather and 4 feet of snow. I just wanted to share this because in winter weather it’s horrifying to know there are cats out there who have no home and are suffering. I hope this helps someone out there to take that step to try and help a stray. Wilbur looks pretty grateful I’d say. And Gabriella gained a new best friend.
