Bea’s B & B

Posted on Wed, 26 Feb 2014 by midcenturyjo

Welcome to the eclectic world of Bea Mombaers. This doyenne of style and dealer of delicious furniture opens her home to travellers as a bed and breakfast. I’m packing my bags and heading to Knokke-le Zoute, Belgium. I won’t be moving on for quite some time. Moving in perhaps?

David Patterson

David Patterson is an architectural photographer from Colorado. He lives with his wife, 3 kids, 2 dogs, a cat and a horse. Perhaps he’d be interested in adopting me and taking me on shoots so I could learn his ways. Like being able to shoot facing windows properly, and capturing a home’s exterior at dusk. Call me seriously impressed.

Lofty

I still dream of lofts. And when I discovered this loft I immediately started imagining what I could do with this space. And how much fun the cats would have tearing around (the thin ones anyway). It is 1200 sq ft, located in the SOMA hood of San Francisco, and was  designed by LINEOFFICE Architecture. Those douglas-fir columns, beams and ceilings are spectacular.

~ Sorry, no pet post today. I didn’t receive enough entries. 🙁

Doherty Lynch now Doherty and Lynch

Posted on Tue, 25 Feb 2014 by midcenturyjo

Two beautiful homes today from Australian design duo Doherty Lynch. Sadly no more. Excitingly now two interior design firms Doherty Design Studio and Fiona Lynch. Does this mean double the design output? I certainly hope so. Theirs is the epitome of the clean, modern Australian design ethos.
