Stalking a third terrace house

Just one more I promise. An end of row corner terrace house, small in size, big on style. The kitchen/breakfast seating/courtyard is wonderful. So much light and sense of space from such a tiny footprint. The icing on the cake is the location in Surry Hills, my favourite part of Sydney. Link here while it lasts.

That modernist minimalist boxy bay window is a wonderful and practical architectural feature.

Always amazed to see how extensions on traditional Aussie houses bring so much light and style!
I love your stalking posts, in part because they are featuring many Aussie homes and… I miss Australia.

I've been following your blog for a while and it's one of my favourite! I noticed pretty much every australian homes featured here are narrow but very long (plus the usual extension making them even longer). I'm from Europe and I was wondering why ? Is there a historical or urban design related reason behind it ?
