Serene and sophisticated. A timeless marriage of the contemporary and the traditional. Light, dark. Urban and ethnic. Relaxed and refined. I’m drawn into the creative web of interior designer Gillian Khaw. Imagine this first house as a weekend getaway. I’d never leave.

I like the relaxed, earthy, calmness to this place.

Oh I love this place, easily could live here!

Gretel says:

Ohhh, that picture of Judith over the couch in the living room. Be still my heart.

Elizabeth says:

Wow I love this house. I absolutely love color but for some reason I keep gravitating towards a serene, neutral home. Just looking at the pictures, I feel relaxed. Love the shutters in the nursery as well!!!

I think the dining room has 2 problems – benches are absolutely the best way to get rid of guests – (try lingering at the table when your back is killing you…) and that huge mirror..I tried one once in the dining room and everyone ends up glancing furtively at their reflections in the mirror! – very distracting, and confronting! I love the art!

Jeanne says:

I love these shots, the mixture and layout. If I could ask, who is the artist of the painting in the darker room?

Thank you.

Jeanne

Hello, Re the room with grey sofa and gold frame picture.
Could you tell me the colour on the wall please. It’s gorgeous!

KiM says:

Sorry folks we don’t know the sources for any of the products/paints in these photos.
