Stalking the 70s

Be still my beating heart. I’m having palpitations. My favourite architectural real estate site Modern House has a new listing and it has me in a spin. Rippon House (1971) by Gerry Rippon of Towell & Rippon. I think I could have called this post stalking chair porn. An amazing house, an amazing collection of furniture.

That "carport" is crying out for a '71 Buick Riviera.

Emily says:

your blog has been a daily must read for years now and up until know I"ve never had the urge to post a comment but this is my DREAM HOUSE….and I also want every piece of furniture showcased!

Synergy Builders says:

This looks amazing, the modern lines combined with warmer colors. That long kitchen island is pretty awesome as well.

Anne says:

I love this house. I have driven past it for more years than I care to admit and have always been intrigued by the design, and wondered what it would be like to live there. It is also not far from the Rose Seidler house too. Iconic.

Teez says:

What I've never understood is how amazingly furnished all these "real estate listings" are. Does the (jawdropping) property actually come with all the Herman Miller chairs or are those just for display?
