Pretty Please

It’s the OTT entrance to a nightclub but my head is spinning with the possibility of including something like this somewhere in my house. Pretty Please. No that’s not me begging. That’s the name of the Melbourne club designed by Travis Walton.

I am afraid this could get kitchy fast.

Have you seen this site? https://www.surfaceview.co.uk/shop/walls/mural
Custom wallpaper murals with artwork from British museums such as the Victoria and Albert – I can imagine something like a cross between the photographic tree mural in your former house and the room in this post, but with a slightly traditional twist for your new old house.

Also, one more link, with a thought to coordinate the floor/cover your hated peachy-colored wood – you could use a floorcloth. A woman in Vermont paints them, but also sells hemmed and primed floorclothes, made to order and ready to paint. She uses very thick canvas, which lies completely flat and wears beautifully. I painted one using one of her blanks about 12 years ago, which has been in front of my kitchen sink since and is only now starting to show a bit of wear through the paint on the corners. You could paint a really simple geometric design, or even something abstract – I like to look at contemporary rugs and art for inspiration. http://canvasworksfloorcloths.com/

Love seeing the changes in your house!

Sorry Jo – regarding my comment above – I just realized you posted this, but I was thinking of Kim's new house!
