Modern country

A simple extension to an existing house takes advantage of the views to the surrounding countryside. The feature window in the living area frames the vista while the wood burner sits to the side allowing the occupants to take it all in. Love the use of tongue and groove panelling to add to the country flavour. The rooms are almost Shaker like in their simplicity but there is no doubting that this is modern Australian design. If I’m not curled up in front of the fire and the view I’ll be soaking in the tub with the view. The Plinth House by Luke Stanley Architects.

Wow! This has such a spartan, but livable vibe. Beautiful surroundings of course and the architecture is just as soothing. Loving this place. ~Sparky
