Loving this fun and eccentric Spanish getaway in Sotogrande, Cádiz by interior design firm Melián Randolph. Part Mediterranean, part country, part modern, it is a beautiful home with an even more beautiful landscape. I can see huge family gatherings here.

But it doesn’t have to be. Why can’t grown-ups join in the fun? These stylish acrylic doll houses by Mint Rhapsody are just as much a design statement for your home as the play thing of little hipsters. I’d love one myself and I don’t even have kids.

And while we’re at it how about this acrylic playpen?

Los Angeles based interior designer Caitlin Murray believes that almost every room can benefit from a bit of black and a little lacquer. And a little bit of colour, mixed metals, mid century modern and texture. It’s fun. It’s bright. I like. It’s Black Lacquer Design.

I still dream of lofts. And this one is HOT. It could use some personal touches and maybe some rugs and some wood in the completely stainless steel kitchen but the bones are totally rad. And it cracked me up to see hardwood stained about as orange/yellow as mine – except it’s not oak here, and somehow it’s cooler in this environment. By San Francisco architecture firm Sand Studios. 

This home designed by British designer Ben Pentreath makes me want to sit on a chesterfield, drink tea from a teacup while nibbling on scones and watching Coronation Street. So quintessential British. (Jo featured Ben’s gorgeous former flat here)
