Raw

I find raw, industrial spaces very inspiring. Location shoot venues are my favourites as they are typically filled with some of the most random bits of furniture and oddities (ie. a pommel horse, because you never know what type of photo shoot or movie might need that!). Shoot Factory has some of the most eclectic and quirky industrial spaces around so I went through their site and picked out some spaces that really stood out. Now I want to go thrifting!!

Proof that in interior design, as in any art form, a startling or unexpected juxtaposition can be far more thrilling than getting it "just right". You've achieved your Desire… your post has (yet again) Inspired.

Thanks Donna!!

Stunning pics. I'm really loving the rough/luxe look. Deep sumptuous velvets seem to play a large part. A rough unfinished wall, concrete floors with a beautiful velvet upholstered french chair and sparkling chandelier looks so amazing. The strong contrasts really show off each individual design and somehow they work together to create a fabulously styled room. Especially with French furniture where too much of it can mean the detail gets lost, as its too busy, whereas a choice piece against a contrasting back drop shows off every curve and detail. The same with chandeliers, they appear even more sparkly against a grey
