Gambling den to family home

Posted on Tue, 15 Mar 2016 by midcenturyjo

A former office and gambling joint reinvented as a family home. This stunning loft with its industrial materials palette of exposed brick and concrete is warmed by beautiful old wooden doors and floors. Highlights for me? The bath, all the storage, the shutters and, of course, that brick. De Korendrager by Dutch interior design and branding agency TANK.

Carol says:

Lovely, exposed bricks and wood, two of my favourite building materials!

Jared Hayden says:

I like the long, wide multi-use passage lined with shelves. It's a great spatial solution to the biggest problem with lofts–that they're usually long and narrow, with light confined to the ends.

Axie says:

I totally agree, Jared. As someone who usually hates hallways, this I love. It gives interest to an otherwise open space where all is revealed at once. The whole home is just beautiful.

JANICE says:

Wow, I love just about everything about this – definitely saving a bunch of these photos to help with my next redo!! THANK YOU! 🙂

JM says:

That view to the tub (last photo) is just so stunning! And the double-sided mirrors above the sink are just so clever!
