Still stalking

I’m stalking an architect designed home clinging to the hillside in the Sydney suburb of Bronte. The Marsh Cashman Koolloos design uses a raw palette of off form concrete, form ply, plate steel and raw recycled hardwood with a play between sinuous curves and solid blocks. Light pours in through clerestory windows making the roof appear to float above the concrete walls. Modern living on a narrow sloping block and only minutes to the beach. Real estate link here while it lasts and link to the house on the architects’ site here.

Blanders says:

There's something off about these interiors. There's not enough art, the dining table is ugly as hell, the pendant lights are too fussy, and those giant unbroken concrete walls make it feel like the world's most luxurious prison cell.

However I love the cleverness of making the balcony railing morph into the security bars for the bedroom window.

Interesting, and it looks like they tried to make the best with a very narrow strip of property, but it's a bit like living in a tunnel.
