Colour - because white is too easy

I have nothing against white. But white is boring. Life is too short to be boring. I think every room needs a splash of colour somewhere...it doesn't have to be bright, but something to give warmth and energy to a room. On this note, here are some examples of rooms with lots of bold colour, not exactly on the pale side.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Love all the pretty colors.
I think you already know this - but I don't find white boring, I love it. And it is also difficult to work with because there must be like a thousand different shades of white. I accidentally paired a yellowy white with a grey white and - yuk. It's not as easy to use white as people think.
That said, this is a beautiful post. Great colors. I especially love the first one. This is what I am tending to do, use white walls with pops of art. I used to have fuschia walls, but I just didn't like the way my art looked against it.
Sorry for writing a novel. Guess I felt inspired. Great post.
when i see photos of colorful spaces i think they're fantastic and desire a space such like the image i'm looking at but when it actually comes down to my own living space i never really go all out with color... such a shame.

I love all white interiors when its paired with a modern style. It can be very clean and very pretty when done right. I LOVE all these photos. A balance of BOLD colors with white is great also.
Design is Design for a reason,....its all different depending on who the room is for and the "room" its self.
Sorry, I am saying this to what I feel is a rude comment from "anonymous" above. ;) lol What one person loves, might not be what you love, but you can still see the beauty in the room. (thats why its called interior design)

Amen to that! Color psychologists have determined that stark white, in large quantities, can be cold, sterile, and glaring. So bring on the color!

I especially like the room in all turqoise! :] I like plain white, but it is nice to see some color!

I think an appreciation for both white and color is important. Sometimes we forget that white is a color, and with layers and texture the color white can create a beautiful home. I do love these colorful photos too. Definitely nothing boring here. A great post.
