Love me some teal

Teal is such a gorgeous colour. I love the combination of greens and blues to form such a rich, lively colour. It's jewel-like and looks absolutely amazing with red. My second bedroom that I use for a dressing room is going to be perfect painted teal. I just need to find the right shade. So to get me moving on this little project, I thought I'd amass some photos of teal rooms. It was a bit of a difficult task because I found alot were too blue. I don't love blue, so I prefer a teal/aqua/turquoise leaning more towards green. Hopefully this post will light a little fire under my butt the room will be painted by the end of the weekend. (P.S. I think I might go for the wall colour in the photo above, Bella Blue by Benjamin Moore).

i got to get me some teal! (i sound like a man from the deep south talking about pork butts or boiled peanuts.. haha).. it is such a versitle colour that seems to make just about any other colour just POP.. amazing how it can feel fun and playful, or relaxed and calm.. it really is a special colour.. great post and if teal was running for pres it has my vote (even though i am canadian)
thanks!

i want to go someplace warm and tropical and wear a bathing suit this color. sigh.

sorry to clog up the comments but i didnt notice the beautiful moroccan (spelling is not my strong point!) style seating in the marie claire photo.. i have been wanting to dedicate some little nook of our place to something like this for some time now.. beautiful.. and yes.. thoes are giant pick up sticks.. obviously! haha beautiuful splash of colour!

I like the yellow poster against the teal- really pops!

We just painted the alcove in our bedroom (our bed fits in side it) a beautiful "Octane" by Alcro. I love it with red, but we're going with a coral/salmon/pale pink/bronze thing instead. It's a lot softer than the red/teal combo and feels cozy in a bedroom.

Beautiful examples; thank you for sharing!
This blue color would work beautifully in a child's room too!

I'd never heard of the color 'teal' before, but that probably has to do with my limited knowledge of colors in english (my dictionary has never heard of it either) . But I really love the color on these photos and I think my kitchen walls are actually close to 'teal' too, so I guess I like it a lot!

Judging by all the positive comments I guess I made a good choice! Anon, your bedroom sounds fab - would love to see a photo when it's complete!

You may have convinced me. I just posted about my uncertainty regarding the color, but these pictures and ensembles are fabulous.
