Magdalena Björnsdotter

I know I know! I'm beginning to sound like a scratched record. Swedish this, Swedish that. Swedish Swedish Swedish. Well here I go again. It seems at the moment that ... nobody does it better ... makes me feel sad for the rest. (Sounds like a song I heard somewhere.) Add photographer Magdalena Björnsdotter to the growing list of Swedish talent that we just can't get enough of. Her work is honest and uncontrived like the simple yet beautiful rooms she photographs. Great shots.

Hello Jo & Kim, I love the website and I adore the Swedish design photos you're posting regularly. We just started to renovate an old house of 1886, so I can use the inspiration! Speaking of inspiration... Belgian interior architects are worth looking at. A good start is www.owi.bz where a bunch of Belgian photographers posted their images. Keep on going! Annchen
Love Magdalena's photography! I enjoyed looking at these rooms, especially the last four.
Start to finish amazing... Love the black lamps with tulle over the dining room table!
There are enormous possibilities in the furniture arrangement of the sunroom with the long runner. How many small old houses, or new condos, seem hopeless due to direct access from outside to a narrow front room? There are so few ways available to arrange your furniture. To simply allow that space to lead you deeper into the house, while making it both open and comfortable for lounging and storage -- it's simply a solution I've never considered before. I love this site -- new and workable ideas come up all the time -- thank you!
