Kim's completed bedroom redo

I've been working on redoing my bedroom for a while now, and it's finally complete. Well, as complete as any room in my home can be, as I am often rearranging. But I'm pretty happy with the bedroom as it is now. Back in April I blogged about starting the bedroom and some of my ideas (and the demo of the huge closet that was in the room). Then a couple weeks later I managed to get the room painted, and blogged about it here. Slowly but surely the rest came together and I think I can call it done. I took some photos on Saturday, and boy was this room tough to photograph. The room is small (12'x11' I think) and the pale pink walls looked white in most of the photos so I had to do some photoshopping to try and get some of them looking accurate. (And I'm not good at PS). So here it is....

P.S. I uploaded a bunch of photos on Flickr (here is my photostream and here is my bedroom set) if you want to see more details of the room.

Kim - I have been so looking forward to your bedroom redo pics. And you have not disappointed. It's stunning! I adore it. So boho, or is it Scandanavian, well they are kind of similar aren't they?

Your energy is absolutely astounding. I love all of your vases, of course. :) And your vignetting skills just keep getting better and better. Love the floor, love the hanging lampshade, love the borgellos, love the colors.....

I could go on and on.

Love this! The shade next to the bed is fabulous! Love how everything is light and then the big bold injections of color! Perfect!

Thanks everyone!

MFAMB, this room was the place in my house that had some space for shelving for my mags. Shelter mags are like bibles to me, and I can't possibly throw them out. So the shelving was bought specifically to house them. I am slightly concerned the floor is going to cave under the weight but I figure after 100 years, the house is still standing, so maybe they knew how to build back then. :)

bananas, I used Benjamin Moore's Porch and Floor paint. It's amazing stuff. It's not sticking as well on the laminate as it did on the hardwood in my office which is what I expected anyway. But this paint feels like BUTTER under your feet. :)

As someone who asks (in the nicest way of course) "Can I fold your towels into even piles...and by colour?" when I visit friend's places, can I just say: I adore your bookcase/magazine organization. I'm smiling a cantaloupe-wide smile. And those shiny floors! Wowsa nice.
Really great (happy-looking) room and photos Kim. Can you finally rest now? :)

Abso-freaking-lutely gorgeous!

I love the vignette of the side table with the portrait on it.

You have a husband, right? How does he feel about the pink infusion?

I just had to say that I am awestruck. This is so wonderful!! I am have been trying to stop going to the thrift stores but this only encourages me to want to go even more. Thank you for the inspiration :)

This small table is awesome! Any clue where to find one of those?

:) Thanks for all the sweet comments folks!

AMR, I sleep like a baby in my new room, but then I dream about all the other projects I still need to do. :S

Tasha, I live alone, so I took this opportunity to do up my room as girly as I wanted. (My boyfriend would have whined like a baby if he owned this house with me).

o.me - not sure which table you mean. The rustic wood one my bf and I made out of a piece of an old plank of wood I found a few years ago when we were cleaning out my grandmother's house. The little wicker table is a basket I found at an antique shop.

OH M'GAWD!!! LOVE IT! The whole thing is fabtastilicious, Miss Kim...but those floors, oh those floors...SWOONING! The whole thang screams "HAPPY"! Well, done and yet another reason to feel a burning, yet oh so loving, jealousy. :)

I LOVE this room. It's just gorgeous! I enjoyed looking back at your inspiration pics too, and it's persuaded me to try and do something with our bedroom, which seems so lacking in character for some reason. I don't know why, but I've found it the hardest room in the house to decorate.
