Why I wanted a shipping container - part 2
Wed, 17 Mar 2010Here is another store in Puerto Vallarta that I almost passed out in. It's called Ponciana, located downtown, and was filled with everything under the sun. Clothing, tons of linens (lace, tablecloths, pillowcovers, runners...), mirrors, furniture, glassware, dishes, pottery, paintings...you name it. And I went a little nutty in this store knowing I could fit little bits and pieces in my suitcase. To my delight I did end up purchasing several items. Here's a peek inside Ponciana, and coincidentally you'll get a glimpse at a few of the things that came home with me (which is another post for later).

I'm pretty sure I'll pass out in tstore. I have a really soft hearth for colorfull things... *LOVE* it!

Katy, I have a NIkon D80. LOVE IT. I have a bit of a lens collection I've acquired which helps with photo quality (I have a 35 mm, a 60 mm, an 18-135 and a 70-300)

Wow! All those lush textiles give me shivers up my back. One of my friends lived in a really cool shipping container in Amsterdam. They had/have the biggest shipping container village in the world. There are some seriously amazing things happening out there with them. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I agree that Ponciana and David Luna are really some of the best in town. I fell in love with this antique bed at David Luna's but the price almost gave me a heart attack!! LOL.... I do have a bunch of things from Ponciana and the little store in that same corner (owned by the same family) that has the most darling vintage accesories and gorgeous dresses....

Tell me you made it home with that pink chair! I've been to Ponciana and came home with some great finds! I also stumbled across a great art shop nearby and just reframed some of the prints I bought.
kristi, I cannot tell you how hard it was to walk out of the store without that pink chair (I would have called it my throne). :(

Please help! This is bugging me so much: There is a photo in this post of a stack of colorful quilts. Ive seen one before but the blue version. They have a pattern of animals and flowers. Just wondering who designs them and what their story is!
