Life's too short

I was debating whether or not to post this on the main page, but then I decided f*ck it. I need some prayers/happy thoughts sent here to the hospital. (I wrote about this on "kim's page" several days ago). I am spending most of the day with my twin sister in the ICU waiting room while her husband undergoes surgery to remove a brain tumour (likely cancerous). He was diagnosed with this about a week and a half ago and while he was told it is a severe tumour and needed operating on right away, they had delayed his surgery 3 times to take more serious cases. But they finally took him in a couple hours ago and in about 5.5 hours it will finally be over. If you can say a little prayer for him, and my sister and their 2 small children, that he gets through this successfully I'd really appreciate it. Thank you. (My sister has been blogging this traumatic/frustrating/exhausting experience here).

The surgeon came in to talk to my sister and I about 20 minutes ago (6 pm)...with a big smile on her face. She got all of the tumour out! They still have to run pathology tests to find out what kind of tumour it was but for now she seemed pretty confident at the results (it sounds like his speech and other areas they were concerned about weren't affected, and she performed the surgery in under 4 hours when she thought it would take 5.5). And I can't freaking believe it but he can probably go home tomorrow!! Thank you all so much for all your kind comments and prayers. They worked!!!

Tara Lynn just left this comment:"Since we are on the topic, and cyber-callouts for prayers and blessings appear to be the norm, some prayers for me please. My mother-in-law is also fighting a tumour in her cervix; the doctors state that her specific type of malignant cancer is not curable but they will do all they can to help her - thank GOD we live in Canada! She undergoes surgery tomorrow and soon thereafter will experience intense chemo to hopefully rid her body of the spread cancer. I believe in the power of prayer and healing thoughts - they worked with Kim - so I would appreciate some prayers sent my way please. We really need it. So please pay if forward and hold us in your mind and heart. In the world of cancer, no one is a stranger." Please say a prayer along with me for her mother-in-law. Every little bit helps.

Prayers and uplifting thoughts from Milwaukee, WI coming your way! What a difficult journey to go through. I will pray for Pablo's recovery and Julia's courage as she supports him through this. May all of your family feel a sense of peace and may the amazing skills of the doctors eliminate the entire tumor. Your family will be lifted up in all our hearts and prayers.

Lighting a candle, and keeping him in my thoughts. I'm typically not a religious person but I do believe in the power of prayer. Praying and sending positive thoughts and a speedy recovery. Also, sending you you and your sister more of the same. Stay strong.

Kim, as I read your post today it confirmed what I already knew........connections are not only based on face to face interactions but, more importantly, heart-to-heart connections! Glad you decided to share this experience with all of us. You put out so much good energy and we all want to give it back in return! Thanks for sharing the good report! Design is wonderful and family is awe-inspiring......

Sending up nothing but good vibes from Dallas!
