House of Gold

A few weeks ago Zdenka sent pictures of her adorable pups for Pets on Furniture. I loved what I saw of her Croatian home in the background. Of course I didn't go lurking straight away. No I only decided to snoop further today. I'm glad I did! Zdenka's home is amazing. Simple, stylish, fresh and ... you can stay there. It's the House of Gold and perches in a steep winding lane in the medieval village of Motovun. I'm thinking of getting together a house party. Want to come? (If only it wasn't a dream ... I'd love to visit Croatia.) If you want to see what Zdenka started with and her renovation journey visit her blog. It's not for the faint hearted. OMG what a transformation!  So much more inspiration after the jump.

Wow, I love the idea of writing a recipe on that cabinet and also the simplicity and clean lines and colors of the bedroom! Such inspiration!

I love the big letter "G" - especially since my company is based off a G. I see she loves a lot of black and white elements and adding the bit of color is just totally genius. I enjoyed the pics.

Doodles? That's adorable. I've never seen anything like that. I wish I could read what it says over the bed by the...sheep?...though.

As usual, I live the wooden beams and the white. The steps? in the seventh row down intrigue me.

A bit on the sparse side, however, love that killer view!

love the kitchen: a total mix of old fashion school kitchen, modern, clean and industrial but still warm thanks to the mixtures of materials. Like it a lot!

Love the white floors. Really darling artistic touches everywhere, but still flirting with minimalism. Love it!
