A pretty Danish home
Wed, 2 Jun 2010I love this beautiful 1911 villa - home to a couple with 5 children - in the Danish town of Frederiksberg. It's serene, simple and bright. Styled by Katrine Martensen-Larsen (other posts of her work here and here) and photographed by Stuart McIntyre (previous post here).

WOW!!!! LOVING THIS HOUSE and I'm liking the idea of the tongue and groove in the kitchen.....that will definitely feature on a wall in my new kitchen! =)
I love this home. The clear chairs and white look so clean and beautiful.
Love it! Love the realxed feeling and the elegance. It is very typical for the area (Frederiksberg), I've lived there, and it is just wonderful, so close to Copenhagen city as well.

Serene is right! I love the little bits of green mixed in - reminds me of the colors of sea glass.
this home has great bones — beautiful beadboard, mouldings, and window frames, not to mention the stunning ceiling in the first picture!
Smart...everything seems to be easily wiped down...for the 5 kids! :)

fyi- Frederickberg is really a neighborhood, a part of Copenhagen. Though they have their own city hall, it's considered a part of town.

What a beautiful home. So simple and serene, yet full of interesting touches at every turn. I was stunned by the shock of that gorgeous painting in the entry way. Perfect!
I do love Swedish design and still, lo these many years later, adore the Ghost chair.
