Karin Björkquist

Let's end the week with a fab portfolio by yet another super talented Swedish photographer. What is it about the whole scandi style that has us all purring with pleasure? Is it the relaxed and cosy family orientated homes? The simple and practical approach with lashings of personality to cheer up the dark winter months and celebrate the fleeting summer. Whatever it is Karin Björkquist captures it perfectly whether white and bright, dark and moody, jewel like boho or classic gustavian. Brilliant!

I have to tell you I enjoy your blog. I usually sit at work and go through all of the past posts. My favorites of course are the Pets on Furniture and the Flicker finds. It's neat to see how people use the same item in different ways. I posted your blog on mine as one of my favorites so other people can find you! Keep up the wonderful posts!

I am the More is More Mom...meaning that more of everything is always better
However, I find I am also drawn to the beautiful, peaceful calm of Scandanavian design. These photographs and images are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.....

I love your brilliant style when it comes to creativity, whether dark and moody, but the rooms flow into each other perfectly so it doesn't seem jarring. For me the 5th image is truly stunning bedroom looks so light and airy feeling, the 6th image looks calming but the color of the wall is odd, though its great seems with a touch of traditional. thanks.inspiring..

There is a great photo here where in which there are two large horse sculptures, one black, one gray or a putty colour. I must have one! I have always loves this sculpture. The original is from ancient China I think and in the Met or someplace like that. Please help me to acquire one. Thanks and I love the blog.
